WHAT WE BELIEVE

Statement of Faith

Adapted April 27, 2010

  1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. (2 Tim. 3:16,17)
  2. We believe in the triune Godhead as eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (2 Cor. 13:14)
  3. We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed Blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His present priestly ministry. (Ro. 1:4; Matt. 1:18; 2 Cor. 5:21; Matt. 4:23,24; Ro. 3:25,26; 1 Jo. 1:7; Heb. 7:25)
  4. We believe in evangelistic and missionary fervor and endeavor. (Acts 1:8; Mark 16:15-18)
  5. We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. We further believe in the keeping power of God. (Heb. 9:22; Jude 24, 25; Tit. 3:5)
  6. We believe that sanctification, holiness, and the overcoming life are God’s design for the Church, which is the Bride of Christ. (Eph. 5:25-27)
  7. We believe that sexual purity is a necessary expression for all of God’s children, and requires abstinence from adultery, fornication, incest, homosexuality, and other sexual relationships or practices forbidden by Scripture. (Heb. 13:4; 1 Cor. 6:18; Lev. 18:1-30; Gal. 5:19)
  8. We believe that marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime, and a sacred institution established by God. (Matt. 19:4-6)
  9. We believe that since mankind is created in God’s image, human life is of inestimable worth and significance in all its dimensions, from conception to the grave. (Gen. 1:27; Ps. 139:13, 14)
  10. We believe that water baptism is for believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and is to be administered by immersion, thus bearing witness to the gospel of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection for us, and our own new life in Him. (Matt. 28:19; Ro. 6:4)
  11. We believe that communion, when shared by believers, witnesses to the saving power of the gospel, to Christ’s presence in His church, and looks forward to His victorious return. (1 Cor. 11:23-26)
  12. We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit as on the day of Pentecost, and in the continuing ministry of the Holy Spirit, as evidenced in charismatic gifts and ministries, and in the fruit of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer. (Acts 2:4, 10:46, 19:6; Eph. 4:11; 1 Cor. 12:8-11; Gal. 5:22,23)
  13. We believe that divine healing is obtained on the basis of the Atonement. (1 Pet. 2:24; Matt. 8:17)
  14. We believe in Christ’s imminent personal return in power and great glory, and in His present and everlasting dominion. (Acts 1:11; Rev. 1:7; Dan. 7:14)
  15. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto eternal life, and they that are lost unto eternal punishment. (John 5:28, 29; Rev. 20:15)

SUNDAY SERVICE

Our Sunday Morning worship service is our premier service of the week. As we gather corporately together, we have no agendas, criteria’s or alterative motives… we simply come to worship Jesus.

Our Sunday Morning Worship Service begins promptly at 10:30 am with praise and worship. Our worship service is a blended worship style, that includes contemporary, gospel, and hymns. We believe that we must be "all things to all people" and through a blended worship style, we reach all individuals no matter where they are in life. At the conclusion of worship, we enter into God’s word through powerful messages that challenge the believer to reach higher levels in Christ.

During the morning worship, we offer "The Switch" children’s ministry. With a team that is high geared and ready to go, this ministry is especially focused on turning on the lights for Jesus. Through puppets, illustrated lessons, special music, games and crafts, the children learn lessons that will bring them into a deeper relationship and understanding of God’s word.

We invite you to attend the Sunday worship service; we truly believe it will be a life changing experience for you and your family...

SENIOR PASTOR

Randy Jackson

Randy Jackson

Who am I? My name is Randy Jackson, and I am the Senior Pastor of Frontline Family Ministries. I was born in Bath, NY and have been a resident of the Corning/ Elmira area all of my life. As a child growing up, my family attended the Assembly of God Church in Bath NY, and after moving to Lindley, N.Y. we attend First Assembly of God in Corning, NY. These churches provided the seed that eventually produced the desire to Pastor a church.

My Story: After realizing at the age of 33 that God had a plan and future for me in ministry, I joined Elim Fellowship as a Christian Worker and started my studies with the Berean School of the Bible. As I was studying for the ministry, I was also employed as a Service Director for a large dealership in the area. As time went on, the doors started opening more and more for me to step into full-time ministry, and God’s will for my life became more and more clear.
In December of 2007 I left the automotive industry and accepted a full time position with Elmira Christian Center in Elmira, NY as their Assistant Pastor. During this time I received my License to Minister with Elim Fellowship and proceeded forward with God’s plan for my life. In August of 2010, I received my Ordination from Elim Fellowship.

In February of 2010 a stirring started in my heart and by April of 2010, after much prayer and consulting with area representatives from Elim Fellowship and U.S. Ministry Leadership, It was decided that a church plant would evolve in the Elmira area. I resigned my position with Elmira Christian Center in April 2010 and on May 9th 2010, the first official service of Frontline Family Ministries was held. And so was the birth of God’s plan for my life, Frontline Family Ministries. I am happily married to a wonderful wife, Helen, who is very much involved in the ministry, and have 4 children: Rachel, David, Micah and Zachary.

Frontline’s Vision: Frontline Family Ministries is dedicated to meeting people where they are at. No matter where they have been in the past, we know that God has a great future for them. We are dedicated to the raising up of believers and disciplining them to a place where they find their place in ministry. We believe that "Every Member has a Ministry" that God has planted in their heart, and we are committed to seeing God’s plan fulfilled in each person.

WOMEN'S MINISTRY DIRECTOR

Helen Jackson

Helen Jackson

Who am I? My name is Helen Jackson and I am a lifetime resident of the Elmira/ Corning Area. I was born in Corning and was raised in Beaver Dams, NY. I graduated from Corning Painted Post East High School in June of 1981.

My Story: At the Age of 36, for the first time in my life I was introduced to the Savior who would change my life forever. Ironically I grew up two doors down from a church, but never knew who Jesus was. In January 2000 my life was radically changed forever, as I received Jesus into my life. Since that day I have seen God’s hand move, not only in my home, my family, and my career, but also in the ministry with my husband.

Having a deep love for children, I began working with children and attending college and in 2010 received an Associate’s Degree in Elementary Education. During this process, I discovered that I had a deep love for children with disabilities and found that this wasn’t only something God would use in the public school sector, but in our ministry as well as I served as Children’s Ministry Coordinator for Elmira Christian Center.

I am currently employed by the Horseheads School District as a teaching assistant. I have been married for 13 years to a wonderful man of God, who is the Pastor of Frontline Family Ministries. Together we have raised 4 children, Rachel, David, Micah and Zachary.

Joining hearts and hands with my husband I am excited to see God continue to unfold his plan for our lives, our family’s lives, and our community. The excitement is growing as we move forward in the Lord’s plan.

Over the last year, the Lord has burdened my heart for the women of this area. I have seen the decline in marriages, the rise in single parenting and the despair that often grips women as they go through these times. I believe God has a plan for every woman in this area and through much prayer and consideration, decided to start Sisters of Hope Women’s Ministry.

My Vision: As the director of our Sister’s Of Hope Women’s Ministry, my desire is to see women be all that God wants them to be. To help them grow spiritually, be healed emotionally, and come to understand we are daughters of the King. Regardless where we’ve been, or what we’ve done, God has the perfect plan for our lives.

MEN'S MINISTRY DIRECTOR

Paul Howard

Paul Howard

Who am I? My name is Paul Howard, born December 3, 1940 in Mederia, Pa. My family moved to this area when I was about three years old. I attended Southside High School and then joined the military in 1959. I served eight years in the National Guards and two years in the Navy Reserves. I met my future wife when I was sixteen and she was thirteen and we were married in 1960 at the ages of nineteen and sixteen. We have three children, a daughter who is living in heaven with our Lord and two sons living here in Elmira.

In 1963 I went to work for a local box plant in Elmira Heights. I worked for them for twenty four years as a maintenance mechanic and a millwright leadman. In 1986 I was offered the job of maintenance supervisor for Port St. Joe Container in Port St Joe, Florida----which I accepted. We lived there for twelve years and that is where both my wife and I were saved in 1992. We became members of Highland View Assembly Of God Church. This is where I first became involved with the men's ministry. When the St. Joe Container plant closed in 1998 I was offered several jobs in several different areas but the Lord led us to a small town in Georgia where I accepted a job as a field technician for Corrugated Gear & Service. I spent the next thirteen years traveling and working all over the USA, Costa Rica and Ecuador, South America and Canada. During that time we were also members of New Life Church of God where I was an usher, an elder and the treasurer of the men's ministry until we moved in 2010. We moved back to New York in May of 2010 and bought a house in Pine City.

We began praying for the Lord to show us our new church and he led us to Pastor Randy and Frontline Family Ministries. I am currently serving as an elder and board member for Frontline Family Ministries. Pastor Randy has asked me to lead the men's ministry and after prayerful consideration I believe that is what God would have me do. My vision for the men of the church is for each and every man to be all God would have them to be. I believe that the men are to be leaders in the church, priests of their homes and the hands that reach out to those in need.

My Vision: Reaching men… to reach men… where there at. In following this simple vision for Men’s Ministry, I believe we will have a strong Men’s Ministry that will impact families, the community and the world for Jesus!

YOUTH PASTORS

David and Jessica Jackson

staff

Who are we? We are excited to announce the new addition to our staff in May of 2011 at Frontline Family Ministries, David and Jessica Jackson . David and Jessica Jackson are currently finishing their 4 years of Pastoral Study at Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. David’s emphasis is in Pastoral Studies and Youth Ministries while Jessica’s emphasis is on Pastoral Studies and Children’s Ministry.

Our Story: David was born and raised in the Elmira/ Horseheads area and attended Horseheads High School. Upon graduating in 2006 and after attending a mission’s trip to New York City, David realized that God had called him to something greater than he could ever imagine, and that was full time ministry. After looking at ministry school’s to attend, David decided he would attend Central Bible College and began his studies. Jessica was born and raised in the Elmira/Horseheads area and attended Elmira Christian Academy. Upon graduating in 2008, Jessica realized that God had been preparing her to be a Pastor’s wife and had placed a burden in her heart for the youth and children of Elmira. She decided to attend Central Bible College. As God’s plan began to unfold for not only her life but also David’s life, David and Jessica became engaged, and in May 2010 David and Jessica where married in Horseheads, NY.

Our Vision: We are excited to see God’s hand moving at Frontline Family Ministries. We are thrilled to know that God has a huge plan for the Children and Youth of Elmira NY, and we are part of that plan! Our goal is to see our generation become all they can be in Christ. We believe that God has a specific purpose and design for each child and teenager, and that through the vision God has placed in our hearts, we will see a generation develop that will be all that God wants them to be. We look forward to being a part of the “Frontline Family” and we are expecting God to move mightily through this ministry.

We welcome David and Jessica to the Frontline Family and we look forward to seeing what God has in store for them and the "Children of the World".

WORSHIP DIRECTOR

John Novick

John Novick

Who am I? My name is John Novick, I was born in Elmira, NY and I have lived here my entire life. I have two older and one younger brother. I graduated from Thomas Edison High School in 1973.

I asked Jesus to be my Lord and Savior in 1974, but quickly turned back to the world singing and playing professionally. I recommitted my life to the Lord in late 1975 and that time, Jesus and my salvation were real and became my life.

My Story: Since then, I married my wife and God blessed us with 4 daughters, who are all grown and married now. My wife and I were married and have remained married since 1976. We are blessed with 9 grandchildren, too. I worked full time my whole adult life. I went to college part time for many years and graduated cum laude from Elmira College in 1989 with a bachelor's degree in psychology. I am also a Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in the state of New York. I currently work as a substance abuse counselor. I have been working in my current position for over 10 years and as substance abuse counselor altogether for over 15 years. My degree also has an emphasis in business and I worked in the business world for many years, too, in such positions as a sales analyst and in marketing.

As far as my musical background, once I gave my life to Jesus, I served as the music director at one area church for over 25 years. I have been the music director at a couple of other area churches as well. I have been the worship leader, vocal and choir director and I play the keyboards, guitar, bass and drums. God and God alone have placed in me in these positions and to Him do I give the glory.

My Vision: My vision for the Worship Ministry is to touch the world for Jesus Christ. As God builds the music ministry, I plan to make it the richest, the best and most excellent that it can be, combining a blend of Contemporary, Gospel and Traditional songs. I believe that God wants us to be all things to all people, and because of such diversity, we must learn to blend the worship and make it work for everyone. Along with worship, I also believe the choir will play a major role in bringing new and exciting Cantatas and that dance and drama will be included. I am looking forward to what God has for this church and the music ministry because God deserves nothing less than our very best for HIM...

WORSHIP MINISTRY

Psalm 29:2 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness.

At Frontline Family Ministries we understand that worship is the key to opening up the hearts and preparing the people for God’s word. We also understand that to reach all people where they are at, we need to focus on many different styles of worship music and presentation.

In doing so, we have developed a blended worship style featuring Contemporary Christian, Gospel and Traditional music with a variety of past and present choruses. Through anointed, gifted and talented people, these songs of praise and worship are presented through different styles designed to penetrate the heart of every individual no matter what their style may be.

As the music department continues to grow, the future holds many great things including a full choir, drama and dance team.

For more information on how to become part of the Music Ministry at Frontline Family Ministries, please contact John Novick

COMMUNITY LIFE ELECTIVES

At Frontline Family Ministries, we believe that an essential part of our growth is growing in Christ together, as a body. Community Life does just that, it grows not only the corporate body of believers, but also brings in others from the community. It brings people together in a small group setting of 12-15 people and allows them to discover how to build faith, relationships and a better understanding of caring for one another. Through Bible study and prayer, Community Life brings every day people into an extraordinary world...

Acts 2:46-47 46Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

At Frontline Family Ministries we have come to understand that to grow deeper together, we need to spend time together. That’s right...

  • Real people...
  • With real situations...
  • Who have real needs...
  • And are looking for real answers.

Community Life was developed just for that reason, to meet people where they are at in their Christian walk, help them resolve questions and conflicts in their life and help disciple them into maturing, healthy followers of Christ.
